Dear Stakeholders, Partners, Supporters and Colleagues,
It is with immense pride and gratitude that we reflect on the impactful journey of the Africa Resource Centre (ARC) and the transformative strides we have taken in advancing public health systems across Africa. ARC’s commitment to being Africa’s foremost expert on public health supply chain matters is a testament to our unwavering dedication and collaborative approach.
Our vision, centred on universal access to basic healthcare and medicines, propels us to be at the forefront of driving meaningful change. The past fiscal period has seen remarkable achievements, demonstrating ARC’s operational excellence and collaborative spirit.
Our engagement in Senegal’s Yeksi Naa Programme emphasises our commitment to driving fundamental shifts in public health. Through targeted interventions and inter-ministerial cooperation, we have paved the way for enhanced local investment, governance, and comprehensive healthcare approaches. In Mozambique, ARC’s ambitious yet practical methodology catalysed significant change across the supply chain ecosystem, resulting in expedited delivery times, heightened governance levels, and improved patient access. Burkina Faso witnessed empowering health
system innovations through ARC’s participatory model, showcasing collaboration and inventive resolutions that transcend traditional methods. Namibia’s supply chain planning mechanism was revolutionised through ARC’s strategic recommendations and stakeholder engagement, leading to improved operational effectiveness and enduring supply chain planning mechanisms.
ARC’s strategic roadmap in South Africa towards TLD treatment for HIV patients showcased our precision, collaboration, and impact-driven approach, resulting in cost savings and improved clinical outcomes. Our success stories in Uganda highlight
ARC’s technical expertise and collaborative efforts in reshaping service delivery models, demonstrating innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
We are pleased to publish this Impact Report, which we shall also share with our various stakeholders as part of our communications strategy. As we chart the course for the future, ARC envisions a strategic shift in Market Access Initiatives, aligning with the Africa Union on Regional Manufacturing; Regional Pooled Procurement and Regulatory Harmonisation, and thus expanding our focus from national to regional impact. Together, we stand poised to continue making a lasting impact, driving innovation, and fostering collaborative partnerships with the private sector and regionaleconomic bodies. With determination and unity, we will forge ahead towards a healthier, more resilient Africa.
