  • ARC’s MARKET ACCESS IMPACT FRAMEWORK | Paving the way for equitable healthcare across Africa

A Regional impact PATHWAY for translating supply chain inputs to UHC & improving Access to Equitable, affordable, and quality Health products and technology in Africa.

The main objective of this document is to demonstrate the value proposition and strategic positioning of Africa Resource Centre (ARC)’s mandate as an enabler and supply chain transformation agent. It emphasizes the way ARC’s current Health Products and Technology (HPT) market access work at the country (Kenya, Ethiopia) and regional (UNECA AfCFTA pharma initiative / Africa CDC) levels across both public and private sectors provides catalytic leverage and a pathway for health and economic impact.

The proposed market access to impact pathway supports the scaling, integration, and operationalization of ARC’s supply chain strengthening core credentials to tangible public health outcomes and impacts such as improved availability, accessibility, affordability, and quality of health products and technology, attaining Universal Health Coverage – UHC goals. This proposed pathway to impact can equally support country governments, corporates, and partners to integrate the various access initiatives and results towards UHC goals across the continent.
