ENABLING PUBLIC HEALTH SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSFORMATION IN KENYA SINCE 2018
ARC’S WORK AND OUTCOMES IN KENYA
The Africa Resource Centre (ARC) aims to strengthen Kenya’s public health supply chain systems by addressing systemic inefficiencies, fostering collaboration, and building capacity for long-term sustainability. ARC’s objectives focus on improving supply chain governance, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure the availability and accessibility of high-quality health products and technologies. By aligning efforts with national health priorities and leveraging innovative approaches,
ARC supports Kenya’s journey toward achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and fostering equitable healthcare delivery. ARC continued with its support to the Ministry of Health’s departments and agencies – MOH DHPT, strategic public health programs and KEMSA – contributing to the Government of Kenya’s efforts towards strengthening and transforming the national health supply chain for achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). The technical advisory services provided by ARC in 2024 were also geared at advancing implementation of the national policies such as the Kenya Health Policy (2014-2024), UHC Policy and related reforms; as well as the National Health Supply Chain Strategy 2020-2025.
