ENABLING PUBLIC HEALTH SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSFORMATION IN SENEGAL SINCE 2018

LEADING EXAMPLES OF ARC’S WORK AND OUTCOMES IN SENEGAL

YEKSI NAA EVALUATION

Following the assessment of the operating and financial model of the Yeksi Naa last mile distribution approach, the Ministry of Health, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Merck for Mothers mandated ARC to conduct complementary studies to the assessment. The objectives of the studies were to provide concrete recommendations for the relaunch of Yeksi Naa and the long-term transformation of the public health supply chain. ARC’s work informed the development of Senegal’s public health supply chain strategy, established a consolidated governance structure for the public health supply chain and provided expertise and access to knowledge across the key touchpoints of the supply chain.

GOVERNANCE OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH SUPPLY CHAIN

ARC is supporting the setting up of efficient organisation and governance mechanisms for the public health supply chain. ARC has integrated this activity into the complementary studies results as a prerequisite for the relaunch of Yeksi Naa. ARC’s work contributed to effective governance and assisted with aligning stakeholders across the supply chain.
